In short politicians can no longer hoodwink the people,and blogs will put these politicians to scrutiny-check and balance. I held out against buying a cellphone for YEARS. Didn't get online until 1998 - when some kind soul donated a still-working 486 PC. But once I discovered the delights of email and surfing, I was thoroughly hooked - the more so when I had to create a website using Netscape Composer (still the best WYSIWYG web software, now incarnate as SeaMonkey). Quite by chance I created my first on December 1st, 2006... and since then I've become more or less full-time! It's an undoubtedly a fearsome addiction but - in countries like Malaysia - blogging has evolved into a potent political force. What drives me now is the growing circle of strangers-turned-friends who stumble across my blog... and then decide to add me on Facebook. A few eventually visit me in 3D, thereby validating the entire process by grounding the interconnectivity in physical reality.
